Crème Simon – French Heritage Skincare

Meet my new skincare routine.

Earlier in May, we collaborated with Crème Simon to host a lunch event at Absinthe. After only reading about the brand since it was introduced in Singapore, I finally got to try it for myself.

I think I may have found my Holy Grail.

I have been using the entire range (almost) religiously, day and night, for two weeks and I must say I am beginning to see a difference. My skin feels healthier, softer, younger, and calmer. What a treat for my 30 year-old self! (I just turned 30 last Thursday) I hope I can pass off as a 20 something year old for many many more years to come! :P

In the morning, after washing I use the Dermo-Hydrating Toner Mist, followed by the Dermo-Activ Floral Serum, Oxygenating Light Day Moisturiser and lastly, the Daily Defense UV Protector SPF 50. The Oxygenating Moisturiser leaves your skin with a cool, bubbling feeling!

Come night time, I use the Dermo-Hydrating Toner Mist, followed by the Dermo-Activ Floral Serum and end with the Restorative Light Night Moisturiser. I’m currently using the sample size tube of the night moisturiser, but I’ll definitely need to get my hands on the full sized one at some point! And perhaps the Oxygenating Foaming Cleanser, eye roller and make up remover while I’m at it.

Exfoliating is a twice weekly affair for me, and on exfoliating days I use a mix of the Gentle Double Exfoliation Scrub and the Lymphatic Contouring and Lifting Gel.

These were on display at the event. So vintage, so quirky!

The girls fell in love with my handmade Camelias that I showed them during their site visit, and they ended up ordering Camelia brooches to give out during the media launch of the first permanent counter at Raffles City!

fruity monday!

i was roaming in Watsons yesterday and this particular skincare range really caught my eye! So i googled it when i got home…

i had to talk myself out of buying a whole load of them on impulse cos the packaging is oh so cute, and the prices are pretty affordable too. $9.90 for a tube of mask, that’s okay, right?

i was just messing around, and hey this “version” of the gaga bow is really very easy to do! i didn’t even have bobby pins in this. just one rubber band and very long hair! and it takes just 1 min to do!

anyways, happy national day everyone! tho i’m really not a very patriotic person. time to hit the shower then get ready for mass, and then we’re gonna have a yummmmmmmy japanese bbq dinner at Daidomon!

i wouldn’t have looked up and noticed this nail color if this girl didn’t spill a whole load of it on the floor of watson’s.

like seriously, for real! she probably dropped the bottle cos there was like a 4cm x 6cm puddle of nail polish on the floor. it looked pretty tho!

i’ve been hearing a lot about this “bb cream”… what the hell was this bb cream everyone keeps talking about? so, i decided to google it.

i know. idiot really…

how could i not have known about this? after all, the koreans are known for their very flawless skin, right? and in my amazement and state of enlightenment, (or “un-idiocy”) i bought 3 such products on ebay.

one is of course, the BB CREAM, which is short for Blemish Balm Cream. i have to admit the before and after photos are pretty impressive, in the sense that in the after photos, the skin actually looks really real and not like it’s been heavily photoshopped.

if the cream does what it claims to do, i’ll be sold on BB Cream for the rest of my life.

i believe HANSKIN is not available in singapore, but it’s apparently the original and best of all BB creams.

and since i’m seeing the silver base in my Benefit compact, i decided to just get a compact too!

they claim that this powder contains pearl powder which will prevent OXIDIZATION.

that’s so so important with our crazy weather, you put on the right shade of make up but half way thru the day you look like a mess…

it also has lavender water and angelica which is supposed to control skin trouble.

oh boy, i hope this works!

lastly, this mineral “essence” also containing pearl powder is supposed to give your skin a “celebrity-like glow”

hmmmmmm, well, with our currently erratic weather, our skin needs all the help it can get to stay sane i guess…
