It’s like some weird addiction, I can’t stop drawing and making owls. There are just so many ways to characterize them, you can give them so many different expressions, eyes, colors, shapes; I like endless possibilities. You know how they say you are only limited by your imagination? Well it’s true, and when you let your imagination take you on an adventure…
Drew this on the Samsung S3 with the “Drawing Pad” application. Not bad for a lazy bed doodle, but I still hate that you can’t choose the thickness of the “pencils”, it’s really annoying when you want to do proper detailing. Minus points there, but then again, it probably wasn’t made for serious doodling.
Owls on a branch. Took me half a day to make this for my grand niece the other day. Well, let’s just say I’m trying to bring my ideas to life, I really want to kick start a “line” of products for kids. With that in mind, I think 2013 could turn out to be pretty wicked, in a good way, of course. But there’s still so much to be done before I even get close to where I want to be.
Now, back to where most, if not all of the doodling begins, in my moleskine, which reminds me.. I really need one for 2013 already! For some reason after using moleskines for two years, all other diaries/schedule books really infuriate me, especially those with chinese characters in them! I know I’m chinese myself but it’s just a thing, I can’t even explain why. :/
See what I mean? They’re all owls, but they’re all so different in their own way. Pssstttt the first one got tipsy on Merlot!
And that rounds up my current obsession with owls, for now that is.
Good night! Hoot hoot!
Mondays are blue enough as they are, don’t let anyone or anything get you down; and even if they do, stand right on up! xx
I usually pull out my moleskine and start doodling on long train or bus rides. Last week I downloaded a new android app called “Drawing Pad”. It’s not bad, but not great either. While it does offer a relatively wide range of colors, as well as the option of changing your “paper” color, you can’t adjust the pen thickness, so all outlines and details are a little too thick for my liking. With some modifications, it might move up my list, but here are some doodles I did with the paid version of Drawing Pad.
It’s looking like a wet weekend, but have a good one anyway! :) xx
I know it’s monday and everyone’s probably got the good old monday blues so here’s something to cheer you up!
Have an awesome week ahead! xx
Some days I feel overwhelmed by all these ideas going through my head, some days I take my creations out, some days I create while I am out.
My DIY-ed Charlotte Olympia-inspired cat flats. these get quite a bit of attention, what can I say, it’s a wild world. Kitty on a budget, these cost so little to do it yourself, not too shabby if you consider it’s only a teeny tiny fraction of what the original would cost you.
Meet The Misfits. I wanted to call this “Teatime Mayhem”, but somehow my mind and hand coordination messed up and I wrote Th….. instead of Tea.
THIS! This is my pride and joy. This was originally a cream colored floral shoulder bag from Topshop that I got off ebay a couple of years back, but it came stained and I didn’t see anyway I was going to use it but was too lazy to send it back to the seller. I painted it black and made tons of fabric flowers and faux pearl rondelles..
One of a kind indeed, definitely showing this off soon!
Do you girls have old bags and clothes that you don’t wear/can’t match/just don’t fit? I’m considering offering an “upcycling” service whereby I help you turn your old stuff into pretty amazing stuff! (Like my clutch) I am not sure if that is a feasible idea but if anyone has suggestions/requests, please do drop me a comment or email : email@example.com
One day to Friday! xx
Don’t think about making art, just get it done. Let everyone else decide if it’s good or bad, whether they love it or hate it. While they are deciding, make even more art.” — Andy Warhol
Once I start doodling, it’s quite hard to stop. Was drawing this the other day while Robin was working on his school assignment.
And then along came itchy fingers, I hope Robin doesn’t kill me.
my current blackberry wallpaper! ♥
can’t remember when i drew this but yea, i just realised it makes a pretty wallpaper. my moleskine is full of random doodles, i doodle when i’m bored, i write chunks of “philosophical” nonsense when i’m feeling emo… but anyhoos, feel free to download and use it on your phone. pretty things are meant to be shared, right? :)
time is flying by so quickly these days… maybe cos i’ve been busy with media events this week.. partied when i said i wouldn’t party.. which explains why i’m home on a friday night. (okay technically already saturday morning) and i’m being miss goody two shoes! …like i said earlier in the week,
when clubbing threatens to render you unproductive, a choice has to be made.
for me right now, the parties have to take the back seat. have a fantastic weekend ya’ll! ♥
im done coloring! haha just a quickie, nothing fantastic… still cute tho i reckon?
spot the difference! i drew something extra in this one! :P
grrrrr… i should have worked on this in a higher resolution. i think it makes a pretty desktop wallpaper!
it’s not even 2010 yet, but i’m already doodling in my new diary :)
i’m so gonna color this in with photoshop… i’ll post the colored version when i’m done!
and this is gonna be the “background” for lots of future product pictures! wheee! :)
my dear friend Caitanya doodles in her free time, above are just some of her many pieces of art!
want to purchase her drawings? let me know! :)
