It wasn’t even something I planned or preconceived; it sort of just happened? I started taking photos of Pupperoni, this goofball was a custom order for one of my customer of many years. (Thanks Nad!)

And it seemed to take on a life of it’s own in a way.

I mean… the second photo totally looked as if he was doing a yoga stretch… and I just started getting all these different ideas..

What if…

So I made a second dachshund, and then a beagle, and then a husky which Nad also requested for.

Then I thought, since I’m pretty much stuck at home I might as well expand my creativity right? STOP MOTION ANIMATION! I’ve never learnt how to do it, but I could at least try.

And this was the result! My first attempt at stop motion animation!

I thought it was cute, a little pupper trying to climb up on the sofa and falling over then getting up to climb again, happens all the time in real life right? But wait!

“What if that could translate to simple life lessons?”

What if kids and adults (why not) could actually learn something by watching these animated pups? And even if it was just a bunch of pups running across your screen, it would still make you stop and smile!

To cut a long story short, there was some misunderstanding/miscommunication with Yahoo with regards to the domain cancellation and re-registration process. Not only are they holding on to my domain (jeaninegabrielle.com), they have since completely ignored all my emails and emails that the Shopify gurus have sent them! (How’s that for professionalism, huh?) According to a domain check, they are not letting it go until 2015. I am just going to stick with the Shopify URL to avoid yet another URL change, until I get my domain back, or not.

On a side note, if any of you are wondering why the store @ jeaninegabrielle.com has not been updated in ages, it’s cause I have no technical access to it to make changes! Yahoo Sitebuilder runs only on Windows and I use a Mac, and since my Parallels refused to work and I haven’t been able to fix it, I’m in the midst of looking for alternative options. If any of you have good ideas on how I can move the store to another provider or how I can host my WordPress blog on my domain please do let me know, but for now all updates will be here on the blog! xx

Spencer, my first Amineko!

You’ve probably met Koko the koala & Emmy the holland lop bunny, now meet Spencer, my very first amineko! Which also happens to be my favourite of the three. (Shhhhh) It took me about 3 days to complete cos I didn’t really work on it all day long. After I completed it the muscles in my hand were sore for 2 days, but it was well worth it and I’ll definitely be making more aminekos in future if time allows. :)

Spencer’s favourite thing to do is taking cat naps!

He’s pretty good at expressing himself, don’t you think?

Spencer enjoys the occasional car ride…

He finds sneaking around behind the cabby’s back very amusing!

He really wants a pug for a pet. Which I will get down to making, eventually.

For now though, he is content with having quiet afternoon teas…

I hope Spencer’s first “adventure log” perked up your day! I’ll definitely be doing more posts like these, so follow my blog, and check back soon! :)
