Goodbye 2010, Hello 2011

To all of you who have been following this blog since I started it in 2008, thank you for sticking with me! 2010 has been a really rough year to say the least, and I’m pretty glad it’s finally come to an end. I have hopes for 2011 to bring bigger and better things for everyone.

Year end is a time when we all start thinking about what we’ve done with the past 365 days of our lives. For some, the result is satisfaction from goal achievements, for others, perhaps, disappointment in things and plans that went wrong or fell apart. Whichever it is, I believe we’ll all learn from experience and resolve to not make the same mistakes in the new year ahead. Remember, if you fail to plan, you plan to fail. So whip out those schedule books and get productive. I’m gonna get me a Moleskine and start penning in plans over dinner.

Here’s a little “motivation/reminder” for all of you. Feel free to save the image and use it as a wallpaper or whatever you fancy… We all need little reminders sometimes… =)

Everyone should be busy partying and celebrating this weekend, I reckon that’s what I’ll be doing today at least, so enjoy the weekend, and I’ll catch all of you in the new year!

Hello 2010!

looking back on 2009, it was indeed the year of “first time experiences”.

i modelled for a blog shop, got featured in CLEO magazine.

helped with 1 or 8 Faction’s launch event and secured sponsors for the first time…

then i got selected to be ClubCouture’s Fashion Ambassador for 2010, and the list goes on and on…

2009 also saw a total change in my relationships, for the first time i knew how it felt to be with someone for a year. for the first time i spent Christmas with the same partner… all the things i was worried that i’ll never know in the past, i experienced in 2009.

now that we’ve moved in to a new year, all that’s left of 2009 are memories and lessons learnt.

i wonder what new experiences 2010 will bring…

but i’ll leave you with this for now…

follow your dreams, stay true to yourself, and never let anyone take away what you believe in.

cheers to a creative year ahead! :)

love, jean
