Crème Simon – French Heritage Skincare

Meet my new skincare routine.

Earlier in May, we collaborated with Crème Simon to host a lunch event at Absinthe. After only reading about the brand since it was introduced in Singapore, I finally got to try it for myself.

I think I may have found my Holy Grail.

I have been using the entire range (almost) religiously, day and night, for two weeks and I must say I am beginning to see a difference. My skin feels healthier, softer, younger, and calmer. What a treat for my 30 year-old self! (I just turned 30 last Thursday) I hope I can pass off as a 20 something year old for many many more years to come! :P

In the morning, after washing I use the Dermo-Hydrating Toner Mist, followed by the Dermo-Activ Floral Serum, Oxygenating Light Day Moisturiser and lastly, the Daily Defense UV Protector SPF 50. The Oxygenating Moisturiser leaves your skin with a cool, bubbling feeling!

Come night time, I use the Dermo-Hydrating Toner Mist, followed by the Dermo-Activ Floral Serum and end with the Restorative Light Night Moisturiser. I’m currently using the sample size tube of the night moisturiser, but I’ll definitely need to get my hands on the full sized one at some point! And perhaps the Oxygenating Foaming Cleanser, eye roller and make up remover while I’m at it.

Exfoliating is a twice weekly affair for me, and on exfoliating days I use a mix of the Gentle Double Exfoliation Scrub and the Lymphatic Contouring and Lifting Gel.

These were on display at the event. So vintage, so quirky!

The girls fell in love with my handmade Camelias that I showed them during their site visit, and they ended up ordering Camelia brooches to give out during the media launch of the first permanent counter at Raffles City!

Congrats to the Crème Simon Singapore team!

Thank you for being an absolute joy to work with!

Looking forward very much to seeing this girls again sometime soon!

…Of Bees & Honey

If you’ve noticed the side bar recently, you’d have noticed a HoneySpree logo! So what’s HoneySpree about? HONEY! Of course!

I’m sure most of you are familiar with shopping sprees, right? Well this is the same, but with honey!

Meet my friend Beth, the woman wonder behind HoneySpree. She’s like a Winnie the Pooh, who turned me into a Winnie the Pooh. But I’m not complaining, afterall, we could all use some guilt-free sweets in life, especially if it comes bundled with health benefits! :)

HoneySpree recently held a little party at Preparazzi, where they served up lots of yummy, “honey-infused” nibbles!

My favourite? Definitely the foie gras. :D

And…. honey pancakes! ♥

What better way to enjoy honey than with some gourmet tea? Honeyspree’s Honey(Tea)Sers are organic and caffeine-free, what a clever, quirky name!

I’m currently loving the Citrus Burst Rooibos blend cos I personally loveeeee Rooibos tea. I usually add the Creamy Clover Honey and some fresh lemon juice for that extra punch!  It’s the ultimate refresher! Try it! It perks you up immediately, and it helps when you’re feeling under the weather.

If you’re not a citrus lover, try the Manuka Honey with ginger, or the Cool Mint tea blend. Spicy, smooth, ice cold, there’s definitely something in store to please your taste buds! :)

I’m sure most of you have seen some of my pluggies, right? For the love of honey and bees, I’ve made some baby bee pluggies exclusively for HoneySpree!

These are no cookie cutter bees. Made without the use of molds, each baby bee is handmade with love from scratch! They are tiny, adorable, and they don’t sting, all they want to do is sit atop your phone.

Purchase them exclusively on HoneySpree! Retailing at $9.90 each and available in limited quantities so make sure you grab your little busy bee before they sell out.

I’m very happy to have HoneySpree as a sponsor, and I can’t wait to share more honey-infused recipes and all the different things you can do and make with honey! Meanwhile, why don’t you hop over to HoneySpree and pick up some honey for yourself and your loved ones? Or read my previous post on Honey Pancakes made with the Creamy Clover Honey!

Have a great weekend ahead! xx

A night out with Coach…

Just a couple of random snaps from “A night out with Coach” a couple weeks back.

OOTD : Daisy set from The Juice Market / Knit from Topshop / Jeffery Campbell-inspired boots from Xquisis

Straw clutch from one of my online hauls from Cotton On, Rubi. Believe it or not I was so lucky to have snagged it for just $5! The blue eyed fox bag charm is handmade by me. Totally blends in with the clutch like they were made for each other.

The Madison Collection. I was quite tempted, but decided in the end the bag itself is pretty weighty, by the time I put all my stuff in there it’s going to weigh a ton. Therefore $1k is safe.

$610 for the tan satchel if I remember correctly. It’s a reasonable price for Coach, but thinking over, who would even know it’s Coach? As much as I was really thinking about this one, I’ve seen similar-looking bags selling for under $50.

Feast your eyes on candy colored wristlets.. and…

Coolest store guy ever. :)

And what do you know, the weekend has come and gone, AGAIN! Have a great week ahead ya’ll! It’s going to be another crazy week for me. Laters! xx

"A Girls' Day Out" @ Häagen-Dazs

Yesterday I was invited to attend Girls’ Day Out at Häagen-Dazs’ Holland Village branch, but it was also daddy’s birthday, so I decided to bring the family  for an afternoon out instead. :)

Soooo… Who do I look like? Mummy or daddy?

We were served the High Tea Affair set, $38++ which consists of….

3 mini scoops each of Cookie Dough Chip, Belgian Chocolate (YUM), & Strawberry ice cream. Followed by….

6 delicate ice cream macaroons. The macadamia nut brittle with orange cream one was a favourite across the board. If you like something unusual, it would be the green tea one. I’m still not quite used to tasting green tea in anything else other than, well, tea.

Lastly, this will put a smile on those of you who are health-conscious! A plateful of succulent kiwis, raspberries & grapes.

Now, what is melty & crunchy all at once?

Petite Temptations, priced at $18++ comes with chunks of buttery cookie dough & sweet fudge chips hidden in folds of the finest Häagen-Dazs vanilla ice cream, accompanied by drizzles of mango & chocolate sauce.

If you’re craving for just macaroons alone, order the Macaroon Mélange, $18++.  Enjoy an assortment of 5 ice cream macaroons containing creamy, luscious ice cream and Chantilly cream encased in a chocolate shell, served with almond nibs & strawberries.

The High Tea Affair, ice cream macaroons & limited edition Petite Temptations creation are available at all Häagen-Dazs shops nationwide until the 31st of May 2012. We had a great afternoon at Häagen-Dazs, I’m sure you will too! xx

the (obviously) better shots taken by Timothy Boey at Incase x Andy Warhol

I went partying over the weekend without the usual bunch; it felt… weird. I had fun tho. I can’t wait for Mimi to get back from Japan, I miss her too much, it’s weird not having her around.. Whatsapp is so quiet these days. :(

incase x andy warhol at a curious teepee

also spotted : the non-warhols, but still worth a snap shot.I cannot agree more.

I had a feeling I would run into someone, but obviously, I had no idea who that someone was until I actually met him/her. Mystery solved, I ran into Jon who is director of Cookpad at A Curious Teepee. Cookpad is a really nifty recipe go-to site. Go check it out if you need some kitchen inspiration, fool-proof instructions included.

Will share human photos from the event when I get them.

kokon to zai, i'm in love.

a month ago i did the Kokon To Zai AW/11 showcase at butter!

yea see this is what i meant when i said i’m getting really bad at keeping up with my blog posts… there’s just been wayyyyy too much going on in my life recently. haaaa i’m not really complaining tho, it’s always good to keep busy! i had a blast doing the show! altho the multiple fitting sessions and a whole day of rehearsals really took up practically a week of my time, the experience was well worth it. :)

with Sasha the designer.

here’s the funny thing, the skirt i was wearing isn’t actually that short, it’s actually meant to fall below the knee, BUT! the whole thing is made of PVC, and with that length, i could barely walk, not to mention climb up the podium during the walk.. so we ended up pulling the skirt right up to my boobs and i had to wear my bra over it just to keep it in place. (too much info?)

photos of the other outfits!

i really ♥ this jacket! but i can’t possibly wear it in singapore :(

i didn’t get many photos in my camera that night tho… i couldn’t go out to get the camera for backstage shots after the walk and during the walk ed ended up taking photos of random big butts! hahaha but it’s okayyyy :P

bobby, ed, ritz, & clara!

thanks for coming darlingsss! even tho it was a weekday..

….my life just wouldn’t be the same without you :)
